Periods 101: My First Period Story

 Thank you Becca for telling me you could not see my new blog. I decided just to post my Period 101 on here. Here is my first period story:
I started my period way after all my friends. I was in the 7th grade and it was in November. I was at wrestling practice and I went to use the bathroom and seen that I started my period. I really wasn't sure what to do but, luckily that day I wore a panty liner. I went outside and called my mom and she was like "Do you want me to come get you?". I told her I was fine that I had a pad in my P.E. locker. We were required to keep atleast one in there. So I went to the gym and got it and went to put it on. My fist thought was I am actually putting something in this silver tin. LOL.
  When I got home later that night my mom told my brothers which was sort of embarrassing. Then that day was over. I was nervous about the next day at school because what if I leaked through my pants. I put 2 pads in my pencil pouch in this little black bag my iPod dock came in. Lol. Turns out the day went a lot smoother than I thought it would.
 Finally that night I went to spend the night at my cousins house and my oldest brother was taking me. I needed pads so my mom told him to take me to Walmart. He said he was coming in with me but, I made him stay in the car! It was really hard to chose what pads to get since, there is so many. I think I went with Always Infinity Regular and also the overnight ones. They're the best pads ever! If you have any questions please ask.

Natural Beauty Tips

Sleeping on your back will prevent many wrinkles and breakouts on your face, and even wrinkles in your cleavage area.

Wearing clothes that are tight make you look heavier. Even a slim girl can bulge over too-tight jeans.

Put on a coat of clear nail polish before a colored polish to keep your nails from discoloring.

Being angry really does take away from your beauty now and will result in more wrinkles later.

Wearing less make-up makes you look younger.

If you are unhappy with a hair conditioner, it will still make a great "shaving cream" for your legs in the shower.

When shaving, don't stretch the skin or you could cause ingrown hairs by shaving hair off slightly under the skin.

Drink plenty of water and get eight hours of sleep every day.

Tighten bra straps as they stretch out, or buy a new bra when they can't tighten any further, to keep the bosom looking young and perky.

Sleeping on two or three pillows at a time, or putting a wedge pillow under your regular pillow will help get rid of dark circles under your eyes.

Exercise while dieting is a must or your skin will be too large (and saggy) for your smaller body. It is much, much tougher to tighten skin after your body shrinks than as you go.

After washing your face, rinse in cold water (fair-skinned people should use cool instead of cold) to close the pores and tighten the facial muscles.

If you are out of quick-dry spray for nails, dip your fingers into a bowl of ice-cold water. (Don't to touch the sides of the bowl.) Your nails will dry very quickly.

Good posture can make you look much slimmer.

Wearing a low heel will give you better posture than wearing flat shoes.

Wearing very high heels too often will give you a masculine, muscular calf instead of a feminine, rounded calf.

Renew thick nail polish by adding a few drops of fingernail polish remover to the bottle.

Make a nail polish bottle not get stuck closed, put a thin coat of Vaseline inside the lid.

Clean hair brushes occasionally with dish soap and borax. In a dishpan of very warm water, add 1/2 cup of borax and a few drops of liquid dish soap. Swish the brushes to stir, rinse, and let air dry. Scrub any stubborn spots with a used toothbrush.

Manicure Monday

Happy Monday! It has not stopped raining at my house for over 24 hours. I hope all of you are safe! We are under tornado watch! :( One of our old bridges fell and hit the new one! They've closed down bridges and canceled all school things! It's worse than everyone thought! Things are flooded and I hope everyone is safe especially my dad who is a lineman and is out there working!
Now I didn't do my nails so I found a picture of where I had them painted to show you the color and do a mini review! It is wet-N-wilds Mauve Frost! This color is great and goes on so good! I only did one coat. Another great thing is they are 99 cents I believe at Walgreens. I got all mine on sale for 69 cents like a year ago! Guys I am so sorry I thought this post uploaded this morning and it didn't. :(

Review Thursday: Curling Iron

 Last night I was curling my cousins hair that I decided I would do a review on this curling iron. It is $25 on amazon. I was lucky enough that I got mine on sale for $15 I think! It is the best curling iron I have ever used. It doesn't leave those line things in your hair and it curls really fast. It is Revlon Rvir3007n1 Ceramic Tourmaline Cone Styling Iron.

The clamp is made to only grab the end of the hair.

 How to make a cardigan for under $5. This is more of a how to post. All you do is buy 100% cotton shirt and cut it right down the middle. The cotton makes the ends fold it causing where you cut not to be noticeable. They Are cute and inexpensive!

 Hey, I hope everyone started Monday off with a smile! I did so many Mani Mondays to show you but, done of them turned out right. I am just going to show you how to paint your nails perfectly.

 What is your favorite nail polish brand? How about favorite nail polish color? Mine at this moment is LA Colors Bright pink which was in my May Favorites. LA colors is a good brand to me especially because it's $1-$2 for everything!

Blabber: Tape Measure & Cinderella

 Hey dolls, I have no clue what to post today. I guess it's going to be a blabber then. Happy Father's day! Are you doing anything special for your dad? I made my dad a tape measure card. I know I sound like I am 2 but, I am truly a kid at heart. You pull the tape part and it says You Rule! Do you get it?

 I could watch Disney Movies all day long! That's what I mean when I say I am a kid at heart. My favorite has to be Cinderella! 'Cinderellie Cinderellie We're off to save Cinderellie!' That's my favorite part when the mice say that! LOL.

 I hope you're enjoying your weekend. It's summer for me and I am finally done with wrestling camp that I can sleep in and go tan!

Flats unless I must wear something formal.

Yes, only if I am going to the store or on a quick errand. I feel more comfortable with makeup though.

Walmart. That's basically our only store in our town.

I love lipgloss however, eyeliner is my fav.

Of Course! Just got new Oakley's.

One hour. Depends on how I do my hair.

I do! I feel weird wearing them though.

Well I went to wrestling.

TGIF: What's on my face?

Today I did my makeup so, I decided to show you what is on my face. I haven't been going anywhere lately so, I haven't done my makeup.

• I am wearing Loreal Paris Magic Smooth Souffle in buff beige, Physicans Formula bronzer, LA colors 12 eyeshadows in traditional, LA colors loose eyeshadow in Radiant, and Covergirl volume mascara!

The colors I use in the palette are the 3rd one in the first row as a highlight and the 1st one in the last row in my crease. Then I use radiant on my lid! :)

Review Thursday: Blush

Almays smart shade blush was an item that I hunted forever. I knew I had seen it somewhere and could never remember where at. I finally found it at Bealls Outlet. I got berry and natural but, I really wanted pink rose. When I went back to Bealls they had gone on sale so I was very mad! CVS in my town has them 75% off right now making them $2 I believe.

Now that I am down with my story let me tell you why I like and dislike this product. It is very easy to use and last all day. It makes you have natural look because it is a liquid blush. It's just like applying foundation just in blush. I love the very color!! Natural doesn't really make a difference on my skin. I think it could make a good highlighting or bronzed color, though. There is a color called sun kissed that I really want for a summer glow along with pink rose that I have finally found! It is an outstanding blush especially, for the price I paid. I think I paid $1.99 for natural and $3.99 for berry. That price is not bad at all. I have not been able to find this product at Walmart! :( I think it may be getting discontinued so, you may want to check out your local stores if you're going to try it!

 Hey bloggers, today I am doing a post on what is in style for this 2012 summer. I hope you enjoy it!

 Summer 2012 fashion trendshas a variety of choices. There are romantic pleats and peplums, lace dresses and floral-printed outfits, sexy boudoir pieces and sheer clothing, bold cropped and bra tops along with hotpants, extravagant one-shoulder items and asymmetrical hemlines. All these can look simple or luxurious, elegant or risky. Caramel hues which include lilac, coral, cream, peach and banana will be hot this Summer. Aquamarine, nude and classic white and black are the lovely and necessary additions to the color scheme.

 Dresses that are in include airy maxi dresses, dresses of midi and mini lengthes, dresses with peplums and frills, shining dresses and delicate lace dresses. Floral printed dresses are also going to be a great hit. 

 Every girl needs jeans. This year jeans in bright saturated colors as well as in soft and delicate ones. Floral-printed and striped jeans can also be an option. Look for denim hotpants in the same hues and enjoy the new trends!

 Bags are a must! This years bags are in unusal styles such as they come knitted, printed, with rivets and transparent details, chain handles and wrist straps. But the biggest hit of the season is a tiny bag that is so small it can hold only keys and lipstick.

Tippy Tuesday: Find the right foundation

Hey girls, I have been super busy all day so, I am doing a quick tippy Tuesday on what foundation is right for your skin type. Finding the right foundation can be very frustrating if you don't know what your skin needs. Here is some help:

•Dry skin needs more moisture than oily or normal skin so cream, liquid or mousse formula of makeup foundation is the best for you.

•If you have oily skin, you should choose a mineral powder foundation or liquid foundation in combination with a setting powder over top

•If you have normal skin you're in luck. You can use nearly any formula of foundation.

Manicure Monday: Glitter Nail

 I have fallen in love with doing just one of my nails glittery. I do my ring fingers but, you can do what ever one you desire. Here's how:

1. Gather your supplies
♦ Nail Polish color of your choice ♦ Clear Nail Polish ♦ Glitter ♦ Index Card/Scrap Paper

2. Paint all of your nails the color of your choice. The color I am using is Electric Charge by LA colors found at dollar stores for $1.

 

3. Put a top coat over your nails when they are completely dry. Now Choose the nail you want to do in the glitter. If this nail has dried then add the clear on it again and sprinkle the glitter while it is still wet over your index card.  If the glitter did not stick everywhere I will dab my finger in it and stick it to my nail.

4.  Now that the glitter is on the index card you can fold it to make sort of like a tunnel and dispense it back into the tube. 

                                             

5. Do your next hand. Then you can add a top coat to the glitter to make it stay longer however, I don't do that because it makes the glitter I have almost invisible.

DIY: Pore Strips

 Hey fashionistas, hope you enjoyed your weekend. Today I an going to show you how to make biore pore strips without the price. I have always had blackheads on my nose which I absolutely hate them! They are gross but, no matter what I do they appear. A few years ago I found Biore pore strips that I fell in love with but, not the price. I found a website 2 days ago showing you how to make them yourself so I thought I would share it with you today.

1. Measure 1 Tablespoon of unflavored gelatin into a disposable container {if you put say, green jell-o on your face, there might be trouble}

2.Add 1-2 Tablespoons of milk into the gelatin

3. Until it looks like this

4.Mix it up, and be quick about it, until you get a chunky consistency. Add more milk if you’re uncomfortable with the amount of chunk.

5.Microwave the gelatin for about 10-15 seconds. It will get creamier in the microwave. Stir that around and start applying it IMMEDIATELY to your nose. This stuff hardens up fast so you’ve got to act fast.

6.Wait 15 minutes or until completely dry. It will peel off just like a strip.

If you can see it is starting to flake off which means it is ready to peel.

**•NOTE: I did apply it all over my face and it hurt to peel it off my cheeks. Be careful if you use it as a face mask. To start I would do just your nose!!!•**
